The first Festival of contemporary art Scrap Metal Art
” took place in Yekaterinburg in 2009, since then it is held every year and is unique for Russia. The main purpose of the event is to attract public attention to environmental problems and problems of purifying the environment from waste metal productions. And the organizers will see to use this waste in architecture and design. The event is simple-artists from different countries to create sculptures of a wide variety of scrap metal: Rusty pieces of iron, pipes, parts of cars, you can see the road signs and fences, chain and bucket room the tractor, gears and even the cast-iron tub.
